tuppence collective top drawer September 2016

We’ve been super busy these past few weeks preparing for the launch of our new products at Top drawer but it’s been completely worth it. The giftware show is one we’ve always wanted to do but never really entertained the thought, until ShoeLicks approached us and asked if we wanted to share stand M46 with her. We felt like it was an opportunity we couldn’t miss so we thought we’d have a cheeky go!

Though we naively forgot to bring a chair (to the three-day show!) we were kept on our toes by the inspiring stands surrounding us, including Wraptious, Linescapes and Shoelicks – who particularly took us under her wing and encouraged us to be bold and fearless.

We introduced some new designs and launched a new collection of gold-foiled cards…including some tropical Christmas ones which were extremely popular! Unfortunately we didn’t have the space to showcase all our designs but we made a book for the public to peruse and we saved some room by having a digital catalogue that we emailed instead (eco-friendly too!).

By partaking in Top drawer we’ve learned that it’s always good to have an order form, that wallpaper can be stuck with double-sided tape and that you can actually buy from other stands at these trade shows (thanks Acorn & Will for those lush pineapples!). We’ve met some lovely people and are already set in motion to being stocked in some truly beautiful shops – can’t wait!
