The Palm House

Processed with VSCO with g3 preset

This week we visited the Palm House at Kew Gardens for a little meet up and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect location for a bright sunny (albeit cold) day in London. This place is one of our absolute top spots for getting inspired for some new designs and sketches. After spending even a short amount of time in this place its easy to forget you’re in London in December and you start to feel like you’re in a tropical jungle paradise a world away from home.  Once you’re in Kew Gardens you also have free roam of the rest of the grounds including the beautiful cactus room – another top pick for a spot of drawing. Even if you’re not in need for some inspiration for your next botanical work of art its still worth a walk around for a perfect chill out afternoon and a chance to top up your Instagram with some super cool shots.

The Barbican Conservatory

Always on the hunt for inspiration for new designs, we decided to spend our Sunday afternoon taking a leisurely stroll around the Barbican Conservatory. Its free to enter and it’s one of our favourite spots for gathering first hand research with their collection of beautiful, tropical plants and trees. Head upstairs and they even have a room full of weird and wonderful Cacti and succulents. Even if you’re not looking for inspiration for a new pattern or design it is still a beautiful spot to take some great photos and spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.
