Playlist of the Week

We’ve been listening to A LOT of Radio 6 Music recently and it’s helped us discover some great new stuff – old gems and new releases.
Our favourite tunes they’ve been playing at the moment are from the albums seen above, consisting of Spring King, The Last Shadow Puppets, The Coral, Money, Bill Ryder-Jones & Savages.

There’s a bit of a ‘Coral’ theme going on as we’re dead excited about their forthcoming album (esp. loving their latest single ‘Chasing the Tail of a Dream’) as well as the dreamy vibes from their ex-member Bill Ryder-Jones’ solo album ‘West Kirby County Primary’.

We’ve also just found out that Savages are touring with Bo Ningen this Feb which we definitely have to get tickets to…
So basically… a great start to 2016!

Playlist of the Week

We like to consider ourselves as big music fans here in the Tuppence Collective studio, although too often we end up listening to the same old albums and playlists. When we heard the nominations for this years BBC Mercury Music awards we decided to use this as an excuse to introduce some new bands, artists and even genres into our I-tunes library.

Our favourite picks from this years awards include an eclectic mish-mash of punk, pop and experimental sounds (which we’re not even sure how to define) but its safe to say we’ve got every mood and vibe covered with this lot.

If we had to pick we would definitely recommend ‘Slaves’ and ‘Benjamin Clementine’ as the most surprising and refreshing albums of the year. Well worth a listen!

October Playlist

Following on from the wedding show we have been working on our next few designs which ¬†we’ll be launching before Christmas! Expect flowers in coral, William Morris foliage and gold foiling.

Sketching for hours in the studio in this wet weather means some uplifting music to keep our spirits high is needed, of course with a cup of tea too…

Here’s a pick of our favourite albums at the moment.
